Standard business cards are single, flat calling cards in the UK's usual 85 x 55mm size, printed on one or both sides. They fit every wallet and card holder, which is why they remain the default choice for most businesses.

What size is a standard business card?
A standard UK business card measures 85 x 55mm. We add a 3mm bleed around your artwork and keep important text at least 3mm inside the trim line so nothing is cut off.
Which card finish should you choose?
Pick the finish to suit how the card will be used.
- Laminated (matt or gloss) — durable, scuff-resistant and smooth to the touch
- Uncoated — a natural, tactile card you can write appointment times on
- Gold foil — a metallic highlight on a logo or name for a premium look
- Rounded corners — softer edges that stand out and resist dog-earing
Single-sided or double-sided?
Double-sided cards cost a little more but give you space for a logo on one side and contact details on the other, or a QR code, opening hours or a short list of services. Single-sided cards keep everything on one face and suit simple, minimal designs.

What's the minimum order for business cards?
Business cards are usually printed in runs of 100 or more. Tell us how many you need and we'll quote the most cost-effective quantity.
Can I write on laminated cards?
Ballpoint pens struggle on gloss lamination. If you'll be writing appointment times or notes, choose uncoated card.
Do you print cards from my own artwork?
Yes. Send a print-ready PDF and we'll check bleed, resolution and colour before printing.
Need more space? Try a folded card
A standard card holds contact details and not much else. If you need a price list, loyalty stamps or appointment slots, a folded business card gives you four panels in the same pocket-sized footprint.
